- Students are expected to attend all classes in a clean gi with a shirt or rash guard underneath the gi top. Machado Jiu-Jitsu training requires a significant amount of body contact, and it is respectful to you and any of your training partners that you keep your gi washed.
- Student may only wear a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Gi. The techniques of Machado Jiu-Jitsu require a gi that is very different from a judo or karate gi.
- Students are required to keep their gi in good order. The gi cannot contain any unauthorized patches or marking. Authorized patches or markings are those related directly to RCJ Machado Jiu-Jitsu Academy.
- Students participating in No-Gi Machado Jiu-Jitsu classes are required to wear a long sleeve rash guard and grappling shorts. Loose fitting tshirts or sweatshirts are not appropriate.
