Academy Standards and Expectations

Everything we do at RCJ Machado is based upon ideas of respect and courtesy. Children address all adult instructors by surname only. Responses of “yeah” and “no” by children are not encouraged. “Yes Sir” or “No Ma’am” is preferred. We sincerely hope this conduct will carry outside the Academy and have a positive effect on our community.

Disrespectful conduct by students can result in suspension or expulsion from the Academy. Misuse of RCJ Machado Jiu-Jitsu techniques in an intimidating or aggressive manner outside of the Academy can also result in suspension or expulsion from the Academy. Cigarette smokers are kindly requested not to smoke while in uniform or waiting for class.
